Touch

My hand on my husband's chest

My hand on my husband’s chest

I do believe that without human touch, even a hug, we die a little… Touch can be just as good for the soul as bread is for hunger.

His body is my wonderland. 🙂 Grey chest hair is so sexy and bear hugs in big arms … safety to the found.

What if you decided differently?

Dear friends and other interesting creatures,

My bff, Will (we are ever so Dharma and Greg) introduced me to a friend of his, Theuns Beukus.

Theuns writes truly inspirational bits every morning and evening. I had to share this with you today because it was very meaningful to me.

If you know me well, you will know that I detest being told to “choose”, especially when it comes to illness and especially pain. However, I can choose to react differently to situations and people.

“Much of what is stressful to you is what you’ve decided is stressful. What if you decided differently? Feeling stressed in certain situations, or with certain tasks, or with certain people, is not a foregone conclusion. Rather, it’s a way you choose to respond.

Sure, many things in life will challenge you greatly. Yet
instead of letting those challenges get to you and make you stressful, you can choose a more powerful, effective response. Instead of seeing yourself as fighting against the challenges, you can see yourself as thriving on them, and even enjoying them. Even when people and situations are extremely difficult, you can find great fulfilment in calmly working through them. You can let others be stressed and angry and frustrated. All the while, you can choose to be peaceful and productive.

Life’s difficulties don’t have to bring you down, because
you have what it takes to lovingly and purposefully deal with them. Choose to respond with a positive perspective, and leave the stress behind.”

I wish you enough,
Wenchy♥

The thing is…

….. I dunno what the thing is.

Noid has this video clip of someone visiting a psychologist who whatever the problem is keeps saying STOP IT!

Shame, poor Noid showed it to me with some trepidation as I can be a pain in the ass about mental illness needing to be taken seriously, and other times I have a sense of humour. In any case it was pretty funny. So we have been telling each other to STOP IT! with amusement.

I hate how I am feeling at the moment and I don’t know how to fix it.

My heart has a sad.

My body has a pain.

Now and again I get this shot of energy and I make full use of that. In that moment I cover as many areas of my life as I can with a hit and run approach. I shop, put petrol in, post parcels, pay accounts, send e-mail, get stuff ready for Sunday’s Tranquil Body Treats @rooftopmarket, I even cook or burn myself trying!

I miss my kids.

I wish you enough,
Wenchy♥
