Nocturnal Wenchy

Hello darling friends,

Oh wow! Yesterday kicked off the @JoburgCity #joburgcityfest and I was privilege to attend two very funky events with vibe…and a touch of class, laughter and beautiful people. I love everyone crawling out of the suburbs and embracing the inner city of Jozi.

Late morning, @SirNoid and his kids, Douglas and Jenna and I attended “Market On Main”. I have been wanting to go there for ages, so this was a great excuse. @SirNoid is not a lover of markets but I think even he saw this one was a winner as he mentioned going back sometime. I hope SOON!

You won’t believe the amazing selection of superb food and drink! I settled on a raspberry and pineapple crusher and a trio of tiny prego rolls: one steak, one chicken and one mushroom. It was delicious! Dessert was a honeycomb cheese cake. Served in tiny portions but delicious. Quality ingredients makes for a taste sensation.

The Market is very busy, so I suggest if you see something you like buy it immediately! We also got to see this seasons MasterChef competitors walking around. Really an awesome market – open every Sunday!

Late afternoon I met up with @Jodenecoza and some of the #newmedia #dreamteam (friends) @ChevePeters @SelloCR @ohgodknows & @dliebo at the landmark establishment of Randlords.

We were on the very top deck from where you can see forever. The Nelson Mandela bridge, the trains that immediately reminded me of #StarlightExpressSA (last week at @Joburgtheatre! Emotional…) and knowing my fear of heights, it took Chevè to get me to go up and Sello to get me down!

The sunset was amazing!

@dliebo was very special in making sure @jodenecosa and I always had something to drink. It was incredibly awesome to attend a function as a social media guest. I am in awe that I have finally found my nugget of gold.
