African Hips Don't Lie

Periodo Azul

Dear friends and other interesting creatures,

Many years ago, I saw Greig Coetzee perform in a one-man play: “Die Blou Period Van Milton Van Der Spuy.”

Fractured story lines, jumping from present to past, and making surprisingly great use of a simplistic character on the surface, but great depth in soul…. “…but mother says, my talents lie elsewhere.”

Not sure why Milton is on my mind tonight… Perhaps because of the fractured lines in my soul, jumping from past to present…needs, wants, desires – but then, simplistic has never been a word that describes me.

I wish you enough,
Wenchy
