Dear friends and other interesting creatures,

Evita Bezuidenhout and Zelda la Grange, the most famous two white women in South Africa, will top the bill at the Theatre of Marcellus on Woman’s Day – a special tribute to courage, reconciliation and humour.

Pieter-Dirk Uys will present EVITA & CO for 2 days only, with three exclusive performances – 5pm and 8pm on Saturday 9th August and 3pm on Sunday 10th August.

The Company that Evita brings with her remarkable life will include her family, Pik Botha, PW Botha, Hendrik Verwoerd, Connie Muler and Piet Koornhof on the old NP side and Nelson Mandela, Winnie Mandela, Patricia de Lille, Cyril Ramaphosa, Julius Malema and Helen Suzman in the democratic side of our eternal struggle.

With humour as his weapon of mass distraction, Uys will also include Mrs Anna Petersen who worked for Mrs B during the 1960s, as well as Bambi Kellermann, Angela Merkel and Nowell Fine.

Zelda will autograph copies of her book after the Saturday shows and Evita will pose for special selfies after the show on Sunday. (I had a fabulous selfie with her sister, Bambie Kellermann not to so long ago!)

A great way to salute the wonderful women in our lives and encourage the men to join in the fun. Come to the Emperors Palace over Womans Day weekend and enjoy yourselfie!
