African Hips Don't Lie

Death is nature’s way of saying, ‘your table is ready.’ @RobinWilliams #RobinWilliams

Dear friends and other interesting creatures,

You were walking along soaking up your own details, getting by and then life events comes and kicks you up the ass… and  suffocates your heart.  Some of it pours out your eyes.

Sean: Do you have a soul mate?

Will: Define that.

Sean: Someone you can relate to, someone who opens things up for you.

Will: Sure, I got plenty.

Sean: Well, name them.

Will: Shakespeare, Nietzsche, Frost, O’Conner…

Sean: Well that’s great. They’re all dead.

Will: Not to me, they’re not.

Sean: You can’t have a lot of dialogue with them.

Will: Not without a heater and some serious smelling salts.
– Good Will Hunting

Do most of us know Robin Williams personally? Not so much.  Do we know how he made us feel? Hell yes.

Captain,  my captain… we have laughed and cried. Mostly doubled in laughed… many a truth is said in jest. Many a funny person needs that touch of crazy to be that funny. Only when you know your demons can you mock them.

I know about feeling lonelier in a crowd than being physically alone.  I have not done drug addiction but I have eaten my feelings all of my adult life. My outward failure for all to judge.

Do most of us know depression and the crappy gifts it brings? Many more than what makes you comfortable,  this I promise you.

Did most of us know Robin Williams personally? Not so much.  Do we know how his death makes us feel? Hell yes.

Sometimes the demons wins.

I love you Peter Pan,
Wenchy

PS.  Please NEVER write RIP anywhere near my death.  Stop it.

    1. I want to say thank you, for if I reached your heart I expressed myself adequately. I feel very sad, Robin Williams is a true performer.

PS. You know my feelings for Billy Connolly… I fear the day he dies.
