Dear friends and other interesting creatures,
Happy Thanksgiving to all, but especially to my friends and family living in the United States which is where this tradition was born.
Vicky and I met at school and have been friends since I was 12. Vix came to live with us a year or so later, and it was tremendous having my best friend become my sister! It has been a gift of friendship, love, support, loyalty, forgiveness, compromise, humour, affection, devotion that keeps on giving, for over 30 years. I love Vicky an intense amount.
Vicky and her husband, Russ and my gorgeous niece, Alex and nephew, Drew became proper America citizens last year. They residential on Marco Island in Florida and love the sea and sailing lifestyle.
This was the first election they could vote (ha ha ha!!), today is their first Thanksgiving as America citizens … and their first, smack people out the way #HelloBlackFriday as proper Americans tomorrow.😆
I asked Vicky who has been living in the land of the free, and going out on #HelloBlackFriday, which appears like where the brave comes in, to tell me more about what #HelloBlackFriday is really like.
Ok Black Friday! You can go line up at most shops from late on Thursday night – Thanksgiving until the shops open on Friday and the shops open at 1:00am in the morning but you would be able to get all sorts of stuff at really special prices!
People has been trampled trying to get into Walmart and now they issue tickets and have a limited amount of the items for sale in the stores…. like you can buy a 60″ TV for a tiny amount but there is only 5 in the store.
Also what is happening, is more and more shops have started offering sales online as well as have there specials start early e.g. from today (Thursday).
But then if you think you have special deals on Friday…. they also have Cyber Monday! 😀 Bigger and better!
Anyway living here, I have been keeping off buying anything because everything goes on sale on Friday. I have 25 items in my basket for Amazon that I will only buy on Friday, and it’s the best time to buy Christmas gifts!
